GMB Rings One program - Phase 3

Like the first 2 phases the first week of this was really tough, but tougher than before.  Particularly now because of the shift from strength to technique.

Now we are assembling a flow of movement, so there is a more to remember to complete the mini-routines.

The biggest leap I found was in the tuck-to-tuck shoulder stand (see video), it took me a good 2 weeks to get this down to an OK level.  Oh sure it looks like nothing at all but that rotate and hang forward is a real shock.   In phase 2 it felt like a big move to do this with training wheels on hanging just over the ground, which allowing a little kick for momentum...but notching it up about 6 feet off the ground requires a lot more!

A self-check half-way through the phase, room for improvement!

I had 2 weeks away from the rings and on coming back felt I'd lost that little technique, so rewind back a week and start again!  An extra session just for the tuck-to-tuck, and even then it still was a challenge right to nail all the way to the end of this phase.

Another minor difficulty to overcome was that final (controlled) drop from the top position down to the L-sit, maybe it's just my mind but I felt like I'd rip my shoulders out...but you don't and you quickly get conditioned.

Now it's off to Phase 4.
